The Big Round Numbers indicator highlights important psychological price levels on the chart. Here is the indicator applied to a 30 minute chart of crude oil futures with a level every 100 ticks (1 point):
These Big Round Numbers (BRN’s) often act as support or resistance. The software allows you to customize the size of the intervals between the levels.
In addition to drawing a horizontal line at each level, you also have the option to highlight an area above and below the level with a different color shading. These act as a visual buffer zone around each level where you can set the size of the buffer zone to your liking. Here is the indicator with the buffer zones added:
In this example, the buffer zone is 20 ticks in size (10 ticks above and below the level).
