HTF Averages Indicator (updated 4/1/2026)

The HTF Averages indicator provides a quick and easy way to display higher timeframe (HTF) moving averages on your chart. Here is the indicator on an hourly chart with various daily moving averages plotted as well:

On this chart we have the 6 day, 12 day, 25 day, 50 day, and 100 day moving averages with labels identifying them. Because these are based on daily data, they only change once per day. You can select up to 7 different moving average to display.

The HTF Averages can also be based on lower than daily timeframes. Here is a 5 minute chart with various moving averages using 120 minutes as the higher timeframe:

You also have the option to display only the current moving average levels rather than showing all the historical moving average levels:

Setting it up this way keeps it clean by only showing you where the moving averages are today. In the above example, you can see that the 100 day EMA held as support while the cluster of shorter moving averages form resistance above.
